It appears, on paper I taught over 12 different courses over 8+ years of service at METU-NCC. Note that, I believe I taught over 7 different courses in the first 3 years:

Mandatory courses:
#

  • Introduction to Petroleum Engineering, Spring 2023.
  • Introduction to Fluid Mechanics, Spring semesters 2016-2022.
  • Drilling Engineering I, Fall semesters since 2016-2023.
  • Drilling Engineering II, Spring 2017. 2023, 2024.
  • Petroleum Engineering Project Design I, Fall semesters 2016-2023.
  • Petroleum Engineering Project Design II, Spring semesters 2020-2024.

Courses with no regular class meeting:
#

  • Summer Practice I & II, Fall & Spring semesters respectively.

Regularly graded student reports for the mandatory industry internships they complete in the summer. Further, 3-4 summers, I mentored numerous students for on-campus internships when, ultimately, they could not find an industry internship.

Techical elective courses:
#

  • Enhanced Oil Recovery, Spring 2016 - 2020, 2024.

  • Mathematical Modeling of Hydrocarbon Reservoirs, Fall semesters 2016-2020.

  • Special Topics: Surface Operations, Spring 2018, 2019.

I developed Surf. Ops. course as a new technical elective for the program. Course covers thermal-hydraulic calculations for single phase (liquid or gas) and two-phase flow (homogeneous model and Beggs & Brill correlation) in surface pipes, solution of pipe networks, phase equilibrium of hydrocarbon mixtures at the separator; and design of separator dimensions for physical separation.

  • Petroleum Engineering Research, Fall 2020.

While I was officially the course coordinator only in 2020, I offered projects and mentored students almost every year through 2016 - 2022.

  • Multi-Disciplinary Project Design, Fall 2019 - 2023.

This is a non-PNGE course which involves group projects by multi-disciplinary teams composed of students of at least two different engineering programs, and seminars by various faculty members in lieu of regular classes.

I was not the course coordinator, but:

    • Every year I gave a seminar on Modular Design (required separate preparation on my part), as part of course curricullum.
    • I mentored PNGE & CHME students (group of 3) on a joint project in Fall 2019. PNGE component won SPE Europe 1st place.
